TUESDAY CAFE & FOODBANK

Every Tuesday afternoon our church building is filled with faces from our local community at our cafe and foodbank.

TUESDAY CAFE

The Cafe is open in the Church Lounge from 1:30pm to 4pm every Tuesday. Everything we offer is free of charge, including home-made cakes (they tend to go quickly) together with delicious toasties (although we say it ourselves), with hot and cold drinks. More often than not there is a game of Uno in the room and someone to talk to about whatever comes to mind.

VOLUNTEERS

There is also the opportunity to help as a volunteer. We provide basic training, including a Level 2 Food Safety course when available, and you can pick up skills preparing and serving refreshments, working in a team and earning a reference if you are aiming for a job in the hospitality industry, so important to Manchester's economy. For an informal, no-obligation talk about this opportunity, contact Gill Jump, Steve Helme (07773637580), and maybe call in for a cuppa on a Tuesday afternoon.

FOODBANK

Alongside our Cafe, we operate a Foodbank every Tuesday from 1:30pm, in partnership with Manchester Central Foodbank and FareShare. If you would like a food parcel, please phone the Food Hardship Helpline on 0808 208 2138 to receive a referral.
