The idea of question and answers may seem a bit odd. But trust us and trust history - it is a time-honoured way of helping people know their God. Each Sunday morning, we are going to tackle one of the 52 questions and answers. We’ll teach them from the front and explain why they’re such great truths. Then it’s over to you, for teaching and remembering them at home, kids or no kids!
'It's all about getting robust, considered knowledge of God into the minds and hearts of everyone in the church family.'
There are some great resources available to help you as you teach, learn and unpack each question and answer...
The Catechism is available in three formats; as a web app, mobile app and as two different books. We'd really recommend the mobile app - it's easy to use and includes suggested Scripture readings, short prayers, and devotional commentary, as well as kid-friendly songs designed to help children memorise each question and answer.
For those of you who want to know more about the Catechism, we'd recommend reading Tim Keller's introduction here.
Will you join us in embracing this Catechism? It’s our hope and confident prayer that as we persevere with it over the next few months, we’ll really start to reap the benefits in our souls.
