In 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Paul tells us to ‘encourage one another and build one another up.’ At St Clement’s, we think one of the best ways to this is through Community Groups! These are small groups of approximately 10 people who meet together once a week. The aim is to help each other apply God’s words to our real-life situations.
Everyone! Whether you’ve been a Christian for decades or days or you’re just looking into the Christian faith for the first time, there’s a group for you! There are groups for women, students, young professionals, retirees and groups with a real mixture of people! We’d love it if everyone could be part of a community group!
We start with a cuppa and a chat, then spend some time studying the Bible together, and finish off by praying for each other. It’s all very relaxed and you don’t have to say anything at all if you don’t want to! But the idea is that by getting to know a few people really well, we are better able to support each other and pray for each other throughout the week.
At the moment we are looking at 'God's Big Picture'. Why not take a look at the video below for a quick explanation of the course.
We have a number of different groups that meet throughout the week. Some meet at church, others meet at people's homes.
If you're interested in joining a community group or want more information about them, please contact the church office.
