In 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Paul tells us to ‘encourage one another and build one another up.’ At St Clement’s, we think one of the best ways of doing this is through Community Groups! These are small groups of 10 or so people who meet together once a week. The aim is to help each other to apply God’s truths deeply into our real-life situations.
Everyone! Whether you’ve been a Christian for decades or days, or you’re just looking into Christianity for the first time, there’s a group for you! There are groups for women, for students, for young professionals, for retirees - and groups with a real mixture of people! We’d love it if everyone could be part of a community group!
We start with a cuppa and a chat, then spend some time studying the Bible together, and finish off by praying for each other. It’s all very relaxed and you don’t have to say anything at all if you don’t want to! But the idea is that by getting to know a few people really well, we are better able to support each other and pray for each other throughout the week.
We have 8 different groups that meet throughout the week. Some meet at church, whilst others meet at people's homes. For more information about each group, get in touch with the church office.
