Church Weekend Away

Friday 8th - Sunday 10th February 2019

Book here!

What is it?
The weekend away is for everyone at St Clement’s. We will be staying at The Quinta Centre in Shropshire, where we've stayed the past few years. It will be a great weekend of getting to know God better, as well as each other. There will be teaching sessions, free time and Saturday evening entertainment! All meals are provided; from dinner on the Friday through to Sunday lunch.

Our four teaching sessions will be led by Chris Lowe, who will be talking to us on Lamentations. The talks will be clear enough for someone who is unfamiliar with the Bible, while providing nourishing spiritual food for those who have been going longer in the Christian life. There will also be opportunities to discuss the talks in small groups and a question time to answer any questions that arise.

How long is it for?
2 days; from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th February.
People can arrive anytime from 3pm on the Friday (children’s tea will be at 5.30pm and adults' tea at 7.30pm). On the Sunday, we will be leaving after lunch and clear up. We must be out of Quinta by 3pm latest.

How much is it?
Adults: £70
Children (16 and under): £15
Children who are in a cot: Free

About the speaker

Chris Lowe is the minister of St John's Orchard Park, a church plant in a housing estate in the north of Cambridge. Born in Preston, and raised in Gloucestershire, he moved to London in 1993 to study, and through reading Mark's gospel came to see and believe that Jesus Christ is Lord. After a few years of studying and then working in France and Belgium and London (engineering, banking, and church student work), he went to Bible college, and was then ordained in 2008, serving his curacy in Cambridge. Chris is married to Meg and they have two daughters. He enjoys jogging, family adventures, and seeing Liverpool FC get better.
